SUBSTITUTE FOR

 

SENATE BILL NO. 62

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

     A bill to amend 1937 PA 103, entitled

 

"An act to prescribe certain conditions relative to the execution

of instruments entitled to be recorded in the office of the

register of deeds,"

 

by amending section 3 (MCL 565.203).

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 3. (1) The provisions of this This act shall does not

 

apply to any of the following instruments: any

 

     (a) A decree, order, judgment or writ of any a court. , will,

 

     (b) A will.

 

     (c) A death certificate , or any a certified copy of a death

 

certificate described in section 2886 of the public health code,

 

1978 PA 368, MCL 333.2886.

 

     (d) An instrument executed or acknowledged outside of the this

 

state. of Michigan. The provisions of paragraphs (a),


     (2) Section 1(a), (c), and (d) of section 1 shall does not

 

apply to any an instrument upon on which the signature itself is

 

printed, typewritten, or stamped, or electronically affixed.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days

 

after the date it is enacted into law.
