HOUSE BILL NO. 5085

A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled

"Public health code,"

(MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding section 18817.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 18817. (1) A veterinarian may consult with an owner on the use of marihuana or CBD oil on an animal of the owner pursuant to rules promulgated under this section.

(2) The department, in consultation with the board, shall promulgate rules to implement this section.

(3) As used in this section:

(a) "CBD oil" means any of the following:

(i) Cannabidiol with a delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3% on a dry weight basis.

(ii) Cannabidiol acid with a delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3% on a dry weight basis.

(b) "Marihuana" means that term as defined in section 7106.
