Summary

Establishing the Postconviction Work Readiness Program to provide dedicated services for individuals who have been convicted of a felony with obtaining and retaining employment; requiring the Maryland Department of Labor to establish the Program in at least four counties in the State; requiring the Governor to include in the annual budget bill an appropriation of $4,000,000 for the Program; and requiring the Department to submit a report to the General Assembly by October 1, 2025, that evaluates the Postconviction Work Readiness Program.
