SENATE RESOLUTION

     MADAM PRESIDENT:

    I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:

    A SENATE RESOLUTION thanking Bright House Networks for their assistance in connecting the Indiana Senate to the International Space Station.

    Whereas, In February of 2013, the Indiana Senate, with the assistance of Bright House Networks, successfully conversed with Commander Kevin Ford while assigned to the International Space Station;

    Whereas, Bright House Networks was integral to the success of this event, providing the necessary infrastructure which allowed the Senate to connect to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration;

    Whereas, Hundreds of Senate staff members, guests, and Hoosier schoolchildren across the state were able to view a question and answer session with Commander Ford; and

    Whereas, Without the assistance of Bright House Networks, this historic event could not have taken place: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate thanks Bright House Networks for their assistance.
    SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to William King and Bright House Networks.
