    Whereas, The two officers continued their winning streak at the National Rifle Association event in Albuquerque, New Mexico;

    Whereas, As a prior champion, Patrolman Ryan competed in the Classified Division, while Deputy Waltz competed in the Unclassified Division, as a newcomer;

    Whereas, During the four-day event the policemen fired more than 580 rounds, using eight different types of firearms, in events that included shooting handguns at targets 50 yards away; and

    Whereas, Amongst fierce competition against some of the best shooters in the field of law enforcement, Patrolman Ryan and Deputy Waltz both secured victories at the National Police Shooting Championships sponsored by the National Rifle Association: Therefore;
