Synopsis: Juvenile probation services fund. Requires the fiscal body
of a county to appropriate money from the county supplemental
juvenile probation services fund (fund) to: (1) pay the salaries or
supplement the salaries of employees of the juvenile courts of the
county; and (2) construct, equip, operate, or maintain juvenile court
facilities in the county. Specifies that money in the fund may be used
only at the request of a judge of the juvenile court of the county.
Effective: July 1, 2011.

A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning
family law and juvenile law.
(1) to the juvenile courts of the county for the use by the courts in supplementing probation services to juveniles;
(2) to supplement the salaries of juvenile probation officers in accordance with the salary schedule set by the county fiscal body under IC 36-2-16.5;
(3) to:
(A) pay the salaries; or
(B) supplement the salaries;
of any other employees of the juvenile courts of the county; and
(4) to construct, equip, operate, or maintain juvenile court facilities in the county, including courtrooms, offices, detention facilities, and shelter care facilities.
