HOUSE RESOLUTION No. 51



        A HOUSE RESOLUTION urging the legislative council to assign to the Environmental Quality Service Council the study of the topic of a single point of contact for submitting permit applications for Section 401 Water Quality Certification, state regulated wetlands under IC 13-18-22, and the state's Flood Control Act under IC 14-28.
    

    Whereas, To prevent confusion, the Environmental Quality Service Council should study the viability of a single point of contact for submitting permit applications for Section 401 Water Quality Certification under the Clean Water Act, state regulated wetlands under IC 13-18-22, and the state's Flood Control Act under IC 14-28: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:


    SECTION 1. That the legislative council is urged to assign to the Environmental Quality Service Council the study of the topic of a single point of contact for submitting permit applications for Section 401 Water Quality Certification, state regulated wetlands under IC 13-18-22, and the state's Flood Control Act under IC 14-28.

    Mr. Speaker: Your Committee on Environmental Affairs, to which was referred House Resolution 51, has had the same under consideration and begs leave to report the same back to the House with the recommendation that said resolution do pass.
