        A RESOLUTION honoring Reagan Schitter.
    

    Whereas, Reagan Schitter is a hero at 11 years of age;

    Whereas, Reagan Schitter, an Ireland Elementary School student, was presented with a Badge of Courage from the American Red Cross Dubois Service Center for her heroic actions;

    Whereas, While attending the Destination ImagiNation global finals in Knoxville, Tennessee, Reagan saved the life of a teenage boy;

    Whereas, While playing with friends in the hotel swimming pool, Reagan noticed a boy at the bottom of the pool;

    Whereas, Once Reagan noticed that his lips were blue, she grabbed him and brought him to the surface, yelling for help; and

    Whereas, It is fitting that we recognize Reagan Schitter for her brave and heroic action that, at great risk to her own personal safety, saved the life of an unconscious person in a swimming pool: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives, on behalf of the people of Indiana, recognizes and honors Reagan Schitter, whose heroic efforts saved the life of an unconscious person in a swimming pool.
    SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a copy of this resolution to Reagan Schitter and her family.
