time and energy help ensure that the federal government provides its
much-needed services and programs in the efficient, effective manner
mandated by the public; and,
Whereas, the Indiana Farm Service Agency is charged with
administering farm programs as enacted by Congress and serving
producers on over 115,000 Hoosier farms; and,
Whereas, employees associated with the Indiana Farm Service
Agency ensure that American agriculture continues to provide an
abundant, safe and nutritious food supply to the nation and to the
world; and,
Whereas, Farm Service Agency programs carried out in Indiana
by its employees have a dramatic impact on rural communities
throughout the state; and,
Whereas, employees perform an important role, not only in the
Farm Service Agency office, but also in communities, civic
organizations, schools and churches; and,
Whereas, employees are the heart and soul of the Farm Service Agency and work face-to-face with Hoosier farmers to administer programs; and,
Whereas, Indiana Farm Service Employees adapt to a changing and challenging work environment, and continue to provide outstanding customer service to their clientele; and,

employed by the Indiana Farm Service Agency: Therefore,
SECTION 1. That the members of the Indiana General Assembly join in applauding the history, goals and accomplishments associated with the Indiana Farm Service Agency, and to convey to all of the Agency's employees this legislative body's most heartfelt commendation of their hard work, dedication and leadership in the field of agriculture.
