    A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION thanking John Stieff, Rebecca Mortell, Craig Mortell, and the staff of the Office of Code Revision for their dedication and hard work.

    Whereas, As Director of the Office of Code Revision, John Stieff guides the dedicated staff of editors, proof readers, and typists responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Indiana Code;

    Whereas, Aided by Deputy Directors Rebecca Mortell and Craig Mortell, these tireless public servants toil endless hours to reconcile, repair, and restore our legislative enactments;

    Whereas, Backed up by his dedicated staff, John Stieff works to ensure that all technical corrections are enacted and all conflicts are resolved;

    Whereas, When the last conference committee report has been adopted and all the legislators have adjourned sine die, the staff in the Office of Code Revision begin the arduous work of publishing the Indiana Code;
    
    Whereas,
Positive law codification is the process of preparing and enacting, one title at a time, a revision and restatement of the general and permanent laws of the state of Indiana; and

        Whereas,
The Indiana Code stands as an example of clear and concise law due to the efforts of the staff of the Office of Code Revision: Therefore,


            
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives

of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana,

the Senate concurring:


    

    SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly wishes to express its gratitude to John Stieff, Rebecca Mortell, Craig Mortell, and the staff of the Office of Code Revision for their dedication and hard work in maintaining the integrity of the Indianan Code.
    SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a copy of this resolution to John Stieff, Rebecca Mortell, Craig Mortell, and the staff of the Office of Code Revision.
