RESOLUTION
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring Joe Rowe on the
occasion of his retirement.
Whereas, Chief Deputy Prosecutor Joe Rowe is retiring
after 35 years of dedicated service to the Noble County
Prosecuting Attorney's Office;
Whereas, A native of Garrett, Indiana, Joe Rowe received
a degree in chemistry from Indiana University in 1967 and
a law degree from Indiana University School of Law in 1972;
Whereas, Joe Rowe has been admitted to the Indiana and
Florida bars and can practice in the United States District
Court for Northern Indiana;
Whereas, Mr. Rowe is also a member of the Indiana
Supreme Court Committee on Ethics, for which he is
responsible for interviewing new applicants to the bar;
Whereas, Joe Rowe served the citizens of Noble County in
private practice for 31 years and is a certified mediator in
civil and domestic cases;
Whereas, Mr. Rowe became a Noble County deputy
prosecutor in 1975 and a chief deputy prosecutor in 1990, a
position that became full time in 2002;
Whereas, In recognition of his outstanding work, Joe Rowe was awarded the 2002 Public Service Award for prosecuting and deterring the crime of arson by the National Society of
Professional Insurance Investigators;
Whereas, Joe Rowe served his country on active duty in the
United States Army Chemical Corps from 1967 to 1969; and
Whereas, It is fitting and proper that Joe Rowe be specially
recognized at the time of his retirement: Therefore,
SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly wishes to express
its congratulations to Joe Rowe on the occasion of his retirement and
its gratitude for his dedicated service to the people of Noble County
and the state of Indiana.
SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
Representatives transmit a copy of this resolution to Mr. Joe Rowe.
