HOUSE BILL No. 1542



    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning local government.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: IC 36-1-12-22; (11)IN1542.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. IC 36-1-12-22 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011]: Sec. 22. (a) As used in this section, "construction management at risk" means a project delivery method in which:
        (1) design and construction are addressed in two (2) separate contracts; and
        (2) the selection criteria include other factors in addition to lowest responsible and responsive bid.
    (b) Notwithstanding any other law, the board may enter into a construction management at risk agreement for a public work project for which the cost will be at least twenty-five million dollars ($25,000,000).
