    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning civil procedure.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: IC 34-30-17.5; (11)IN1373.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. IC 34-30-17.5 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW CHAPTER TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011]:
     Chapter 17.5. Insurance: Immunity of Title Insurance Companies From Tort Liability for Negligent Misrepresentation
    Sec. 1. This chapter applies to any company described in IC 27-7-3-3.
    Sec. 2. A company described in section 1 of this chapter is not liable in tort for any act or omission that constitutes a negligent misrepresentation.
