    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning Medicaid.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: IC 12-15-10.5; (10)IN1363.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. IC 12-15-10.5 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW CHAPTER TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2010]:
     Chapter 10.5. Provider Use of Electronic Records
    Sec. 1. A provider participating in the Medicaid program shall, not later than January 1, 2011, use an electronic health records system.
    Sec. 2. An electronic health records system required under section 1 of this chapter must allow for the exchange of information between the system and an authorized third party.
