Synopsis: Alcohol displays. Requires a holder of a liquor dealer
permit, other than a package liquor store, to display liquor for sale in
a room or partitioned area separate from other retail items for sale on
the premises. Prohibits a minor from entering the room or partitioned
area without a parent or guardian who is at least 21 years of age.
Effective: July 1, 2011.

A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning
alcohol and tobacco.
(b) A holder of a liquor dealer permit must display liquor for sale in a room or partitioned area that is separate from other retail items for sale on the premises. However, other alcoholic beverages may be displayed in the same room or partitioned area in which liquor is displayed under this subsection.
(c) A minor may not enter the room or partitioned area described in subsection (b) without a parent or guardian who is at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
(d) The commission shall adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 to implement this section.
