Summary

Minimum wage and employment benefits. After December 31, 2022, increases the minimum wage paid to certain employees from $7.25 per hour to $12 per hour, then annually increases the minimum wage in $1 increments to $15 per hour through January 1, 2026. Repeals the prohibition of local units from establishing, mandating, or requiring: (1) a minimum wage that exceeds the state or federal minimum wage; and (2) certain employee benefits. Makes conforming amendments and a technical correction.
