Summary

Requires the office of Medicaid policy and planning (office) to establish and implement a procedure to allow a nursing home resident to seek prior approval for the Medicaid program when the individual's assets are not more than $5,000. Sets forth the procedure for the office to follow and the individual to follow to receive preapproval and final approval to receive Medicaid. Requires the office to apply for federal approval if the office deems federal approval is necessary.
