Summary

Unemployment insurance. Requires the department of workforce development (department) to give its annual presentation regarding the status of the unemployment compensation system to the interim study committee on employment and labor (instead of the budget committee, as provided in current law). Modifies the law governing the department's recordkeeping, release of records, and confidentiality duties and obligations. Changes the manner in which notice of a claimant's registration, failure to register, renewal, or continuation of the claimant's claim for unemployment benefits may be provided to an employer.
