Bill Title: Amends provisions of the Workers' Compensation Act and the Workers' Occupational Diseases Act providing that the disability of a firefighter, emergency medical technician, or paramedic resulting from a condition or health impairment that results directly or indirectly from any bloodborne pathogen, lung or respiratory disease or condition, heart or vascular disease or condition, hypertension, tuberculosis, or cancer is rebuttably presumed to arise out of and in the course of employment and to be causally connected to the hazards or exposures of the employment, subject to specified conditions. Provides that, in the case of any condition or impairment of health of an employee employed as a firefighter which results directly or indirectly from cancer resulting in any disability to the employee, the presumption shall not apply to any employee who has been employed as a firefighter for less than 4 years (rather than 5 years) at the time he or she files an Application for Adjustment of Claim.
