Bill Title: Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Provides that no group health insurance policy providing hospital or medical expense benefits for groups with more than 50 persons shall be delivered, issued, executed, or renewed in this State or approved for issuance or renewal in this State, unless the policy provides benefits to any named insured or other person covered in the policy for expenses incurred in (1) screening by blood lead measurement for lead poisoning for children, including confirmatory blood lead testing and medical evaluation and any necessary medical follow up and treatment for lead-poisoned children; (2) all childhood immunizations as recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of the U.S. Public Health Service and the Department of Public Health; and (3) screening for newborn hearing loss by appropriate electrophysiologic screening measures and periodic monitoring of infants for delayed onset hearing loss. Sets forth requirements concerning the coverage. Makes conforming changes in the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971, the Counties Code, the Illinois Municipal Code, the School Code, the Health Maintenance Organization Act, the Limited Health Service Organization Act, and the Voluntary Health Services Plans Act.
