| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Orland Eugene "Gene" Rubemeyer, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on October 25, 2016; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer was born in Alton to Earl | ||||||
| 6 | Rubemeyer and Lorene (Buttrey) Cauley on August 10, 1942; he | ||||||
| 7 | married Cathy Bellm in Carlinville on March 14, 1987; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer served as a Lieutenant for the | ||||||
| 9 | Macoupin County Sheriff's Department and the State of Illinois; | ||||||
| 10 | and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer was a member of the Knights of | ||||||
| 12 | Columbus where he served on the Honor Guard; he was also a | ||||||
| 13 | member of Ss. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville; | ||||||
| 14 | and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 16 | parents and one sister, Toni Schmitz; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer is survived by his wife, Cathy; | ||||||
| 18 | his children, Jerry (Lois) Rubemeyer, Teri (Ron) Archibald, | ||||||
| 19 | Beth (Dan) Mathis, Lori (Kyle) Witte, Craig (Melanie) | ||||||
| 20 | Rubemeyer; his grandchildren, Patricia (Adam) Newell, Jerry | ||||||

| 1 | Wayne (Tiffany) Rubemeyer, Kevin Rubemeyer, Michael (Krisha) | ||||||
| 2 | Archibald, Zachary, Lauren, Emma, and Lillie Mathis, Ryan, | ||||||
| 3 | Haeleigh, Dax Witte, Dustin, Olivia, and Mariska Rubemeyer; his | ||||||
| 4 | siblings, Mona (Randy) Carlton, Dixie Bush, Rubert "Lucky" | ||||||

| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 10 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Orland Eugene "Gene" | ||||||
| 11 | Rubemeyer, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | ||||||
| 12 | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
| ||||||
| 13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 14 | presented to the family of Orland Rubemeyer as an expression of | ||||||
| 15 | our deepest sympathy.
