SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Lillian Marie Szostak of Gurnee, who
passed away at the age of 85; and
WHEREAS, Lillian Szostak served as an assistant nurse in a
delivery room; she was also a caregiver to the elderly and
infirm and a tireless volunteer at many charitable
organizations; and
WHEREAS, Lillian Szostak was preceded in death by her
parents, Arthur and Lily Dorband, and her brothers, Alan, Bob,
and Clarence; and
WHEREAS, Lillian Szostak is survived by her sons, Michael
(Anne), David (Janet), Martin (Mary), Gerry (Bernice), Steven
(Dawn), and Tim (Maureen); her grandchildren, Jonathan
(Maria), David (Karly), Cali (Josh), Charles, Laura, Frances
(Jon), Donna, Peter, Alicia, Justine, Matthew, Nicole,
Jeffrey, Adam, Caroline, Amy, and Ellen; her
great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Rosemarie, Emily, Joshua,
Adelina, Lillianna, Caleb, Davie Jane, Chase, and Cora; and her
brother, Don Dorband; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
family and friends, mourn the passing of Lillian Marie Szostak;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Lillian Szostak as an expression of
our sympathy.
