2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Robinson of Crystal Lake, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on September 15, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Robert Robinson was born on March 1, 1933 in | ||||||
6 | Crystal Lake; his parents were Robert and Mabel Robinson; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Robert Robinson attended St. Thomas Grade School | ||||||
8 | and graduated from Crystal Lake Community High School in 1950; | ||||||
9 | he later attended Beloit College; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Robert Robinson served in the United States Air | ||||||
11 | Force; as a radar intercept officer, he flew the F-94 fighter | ||||||
12 | jet; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Robert Robinson began his career in real estate in | ||||||
14 | the 1960s, starting in sales management; he was a prominent | ||||||
15 | member of several companies that developed the landscape of | ||||||
16 | Crystal Lake during the 1960s and 1970s; he served as President | ||||||
17 | of Sales and Marketing Council for the Greater Home Builders of | ||||||
18 | Chicago, Algonquin Township Supervisor, member of the McHenry | ||||||
19 | County Board of Supervisors, President of the Crystal Lake Park | ||||||
20 | District, and board member of Crystal Lake Bank and Trust; he | ||||||
21 | co-founded Brittany Builders, which developed several custom |

1 | home communities in McHenry County; he later began his own | ||||||
2 | custom home building company, Raintree Builders, with his son | ||||||
3 | Rob; after retiring from the home building business, he sold | ||||||
4 | land and homes with Baird and Warner for 22 years; and

5 | WHEREAS, Robert Robinson enjoyed attending dinner parties | ||||||
6 | on Woodland Drive, hosting New Year's Day and Turkey Bowl | ||||||
7 | parties, and watching the Chicago Cubs; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Robert Robinson was preceded in death by his | ||||||
9 | parents; his sisters and their husbands, Margaret and James | ||||||
10 | McNulty, Dorothy and Darrel West, and Pat and Richard Aston; | ||||||
11 | and his former wife, Myra Burrell Robinson; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Robert Robinson is survived by his wife of 24 | ||||||
13 | years, Kristi; his children, Rob (Cindy), Craig (Virginia), | ||||||
14 | Lisa, and Jeff Robinson; his grandchildren, Christine, | ||||||
15 | Nicholas, Jennifer, Nathan, Alexandra, Victoria, Roberta, | ||||||
16 | Tayler, Emily, and Robert; his great-grandchildren; Jean, Tula | ||||||
17 | Tina, Amelia, Jacob, Jocelyn, and Madilyn; and many nieces and | ||||||
18 | nephews; therefore, be it

19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
20 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
21 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Robert "Bob" Robinson; | ||||||
22 | and be it further
