2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Katherine L. Rich, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | October 24, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Katherine Rich was born in Marion, Kentucky to | ||||||
6 | Murphy and Clara (Thomas) Lanham; she graduated from | ||||||
7 | Morganfield High School in 1939 and the Deaconess Hospital | ||||||
8 | School of Nursing in Evansville, Indiana in 1944; she married | ||||||
9 | Noble Rich in 1944; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Katherine Rich was a registered nurse and a | ||||||
11 | longtime employee of Ingalls Memorial Hospital; and
| ||||||
12 | |||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Katherine Rich was
preceded in death by her | ||||||
14 | parents; her husband, Noble
Rich; and her sister, Lucile | ||||||
15 | Shackelford; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Katherine Rich is survived by her children, Nancy | ||||||
17 | (Jay) Abell,
David (Vicki) Rich, and Ruth Rich; her | ||||||
18 | grandchildren, Jennifer (Craig) Abell-Champion,
Penny (Brian) | ||||||
19 | Ohlendorf, Becky
Steere, Elizabeth (Adam) Sheinkopf, Amanda

20 | (Dan) Filsinger, and Dawn (Tyler) Martin; and her | ||||||

2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Katherine L. Rich, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
4 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
