2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Billy Joe Walter, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | August 22, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Billy Walter was born in Bay City to Lee and Helen | ||||||
6 | (Faulkner) Walter on November 12, 1932; he served in the United | ||||||
7 | States Army from 1953 to 1955, followed by six years in the | ||||||
8 | reserve; he married Trudy Reese in Harvard on February 8, 1958; | ||||||
9 | and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Billy Walter worked for many years at Admiral; he | ||||||
11 | retired from the United States Postal Service; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Billy Walter was a member of the Harvard Moose | ||||||
13 | Lodge for 44 years; he was a life member of the McHenry County | ||||||
14 | HOG Chapter; he enjoyed riding his Harley with his family and | ||||||
15 | friends and an occasional game of golf; he liked doing yard | ||||||
16 | work, gardening, and turkey and deer hunting; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Billy Walter was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
18 | several brothers and sisters; a grandson; and a | ||||||
19 | great-granddaughter; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Billy Walter is survived by his wife, Trudy; his |

| |||||||
1 | sons, Billy Jr. (Debbie), Bobby, Randy, Stanley, and Rick | ||||||
2 | (Cindy); his daughter, Christine (David) Grenlund; many | ||||||
3 | grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many nieces and | ||||||
4 | nephews; several sisters; and all his Harley friends; | ||||||
5 | therefore, be it

6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
8 | Billy Joe Walter, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
9 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
10 | further
| ||||||
11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
12 | presented to the family of Billy Walter as an expression of our | ||||||
13 | deepest sympathy.
