SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Russell C. Wells of Waukegan, who passed
4away on June 17, 2016; and
5 WHEREAS, Russell Wells was born on June 4, 1951 in
6Waukegan; his parents were Raymond and Shirley Wells; and
7 WHEREAS, Russell Wells graduated from Waukegan High School
8in 1969; and
9 WHEREAS, Russell Wells was a partner in local businesses,
10including the Grand Bowl in Waukegan, O'Leary's Public House in
11Chicago, and the Evergreen Golf Course in Elkhorn, Wisconsin;
12and
13 WHEREAS, Russell Wells was preceded in death by his
14parents; his sisters, Marilyn Wells and Cheryl Cluck; and his
15father-in-law, Clarence Rajala; and
16 WHEREAS, Russell Wells is survived by his wife of 41 years,
17Kathleen; his daughters, Melissa (Scott) Metzelfeld and
18Rachel; his grandchildren, Myles and Sadie Metzelfeld; his
19brothers, Roger (Linda) and Bruce; his sister, Carolyn (Peter)
20Dorhout; his mother-in-law, Natheen Rajala; his

1brother-in-law, Terry (Patty) Rajala; his sisters-in-law,
2Sandra Rajala, Eileen (Keith) Meyer, and Jennifer (Tim) Boehle;
3and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
4 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Russell C. Wells; and
7be it further
8 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Russell Wells as an expression of
10our sympathy.
