2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of George C. Hook of Wadsworth, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on June 21, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, George Hook was born on February 7, 1927 in | ||||||
6 | Waukegan; his parents were George P. and Elsie M. Hook; he | ||||||
7 | married Catherine A. Paulsen on August 23, 1958 in Waukegan; | ||||||
8 | and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, George Hook was a Staff Sergeant in the United | ||||||
10 | States Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, George Hook worked as a lineman for Commonwealth | ||||||
12 | Edison for over 30 years; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, George Hook was a longtime member and a Post | ||||||
14 | Commander of the American Legion Homer Dahringer Post 281 in | ||||||
15 | Waukegan; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, George Hook was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
17 | and his beloved wife, Catherine; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, George Hook was the loving father of Evelyn (Rob) | ||||||
19 | Smyth and Robert (Jackie) Hook and the cherished and loving |

1 | grandfather of Lauren, Katie, and Maddie Hook; he is survived | ||||||
2 | by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews; | ||||||
3 | therefore, be it

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
6 | family and friends, mourn the passing of George C. Hook; and be | ||||||
7 | it further

8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
9 | presented to the family of George Hook as an expression of our | ||||||
10 | sympathy.
