2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Jessie M. Champion of Granite City, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on June 20, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jessie Champion worked as a housekeeper at the | ||||||
6 | Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Jessie Champion was a member of the Eastern Star | ||||||
8 | and Pontoon Baptist Church; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Jessie Champion was preceded in death by her | ||||||
10 | husband, Fred Champion; her son-in-law, Terry Greathouse; her | ||||||
11 | parents, Herman Huffhines and Viola (Lenze) Kimmel; five | ||||||
12 | brothers; and three sisters; and

13 | WHEREAS, Jessie Champion is survived by her daughters, | ||||||
14 | Sandra Gibson, Sharon Greathouse, Sue (Jack) Palmer, and | ||||||
15 | Rebecca Ohlund; her grandchildren, Ronnie, David, Dennis, | ||||||
16 | Shanna, Daniel Gibson, Terry Cory, Zachery, and Joshua Whitt; | ||||||
17 | and her great-grandchildren, Jayden Whitt, Dreamer Whitt, and | ||||||
18 | Cameron and Braden Gibson; therefore, be it

19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
20 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
