SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Jeremiah Stephen Adams of Fox Valley, who
passed away on May 4, 2018; and
WHEREAS, Jeremiah Adams was born to Stephen and Christine
(Gibson) Adams on March 17, 1994; growing up, he was involved
in theater, both through school and an outside company, and in
the choir; he graduated from Oswego East High School in Aurora
in 2013; and
WHEREAS, Following graduation, Jeremiah Adams enlisted in
the United States Navy; he trained in Charleston, South
Carolina; in May 2015, he reported to the aircraft carrier USS
Nimitz, based in Bremerton, Washington; he was a nuclear
electrician's mate second class; after his time in the Navy, he
hoped to go to college or get a job abroad; and
WHEREAS, Jeremiah Adams enjoyed hiking; he loved his
friends and was always willing to listen when they needed to
talk; and
WHEREAS, Jeremiah Adams is survived by his parents; his
siblings, Matthew, Michael, Joshua, and Rebekah; his

grandparents, Ray and Judith Adams and Roy and Sandra Gibson;
and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Jeremiah Stephen Adams and extend our sincere condolences to
his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Jeremiah Adams as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
