| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Amanda Marie Stanton of Lockport, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on June 24, 2018; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Amanda Stanton was born to Lisa (Boscarino) and | ||||||
| 6 | Jerry Stanton on April 15, 1992; she graduated from Lockport | ||||||
| 7 | High School in 2010, where she was a standout softball player; | ||||||
| 8 | she went on to play softball at Eastern Michigan University, | ||||||
| 9 | where she was one of the team's leading hitters during her | ||||||
| 10 | junior and senior seasons; as a junior, she was named first | ||||||
| 11 | team all conference; she graduated with a degree in elementary | ||||||
| 12 | education and a minor in reading and mathematics; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Amanda Stanton began her career as a teaching | ||||||
| 14 | assistant; at the time of her passing, she worked as the | ||||||
| 15 | Strategic Math Specialist at Jefferson Junior High School in | ||||||
| 16 | Naperville and was the head softball coach at Oswego High | ||||||
| 17 | School; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Amanda Stanton was an impact player, a coach, and | ||||||
| 19 | a teacher; she taught the girls on her team how to love and | ||||||
| 20 | respect the game; she will be remembered for her leadership and | ||||||
| 21 | positivity; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Amanda Stanton was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 2 | grandmother, Barbara Boscarino; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Amanda Stanton is survived by her parents; her | ||||||
| 4 | brothers, Joshua (Michelle) and Jacob Stanton; her | ||||||
| 5 | grandparents, Carl Boscarino and Harry "Bud" and Georgianna | ||||||
| 6 | Stanton; and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be | ||||||
| 7 | it

| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 10 | Amanda Marie Stanton and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
| 11 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
| 12 | further

| 13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
