2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Steve Sharnik of Moline, who passed away | ||||||
4 | on July 10, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Steve Sharnik was born in Mocanaqua, Pennsylvania | ||||||
6 | to Joseph and Marie (Tinus) Sharnik on March 21, 1926; he | ||||||
7 | served in the Army Air Corps during World War II; he graduated | ||||||
8 | from Pennsylvania State University; he married Alberta G. Wisor | ||||||
9 | in Davenport on November 28, 1958; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Steve Sharnik worked as a foreman in the Tool | ||||||
11 | Department at John Deere, and he retired in 1983; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Steve Sharnik was a member of Sacred Heart Church | ||||||
13 | and the Sacred Heart Resurrection Choir; in his earlier years, | ||||||
14 | he enjoyed playing golf; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Steve Sharnik was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
16 | Alberta; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Steve Sharnik is survived by his son, Steve S. | ||||||
18 | Sharnik and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |

1 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
2 | Steve Sharnik and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | ||||||
3 | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

4 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
5 | presented to the family of Steve Sharnik as an expression of | ||||||
6 | our deepest sympathy.
