2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Marilyn Jean Shineflug, who passed away | ||||||
4 | on November 17, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Marilyn Shineflug was born in Evanston on April | ||||||
6 | 24, 1943 to Thane and Rebecca (nee Hammitt) Swartz; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Marilyn Shineflug was a Trustee for the Village of | ||||||
8 | Antioch from 1989 to 1993; she became Mayor in 1993 and served | ||||||
9 | until 2001; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Marilyn Shineflug was an active environmentalist, | ||||||
11 | working tirelessly for the well-being of her community; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Marilyn Shineflug was preceded in death by her | ||||||
13 | parents and her brother, Wesley Swartz; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Marilyn Shineflug is survived by her 2 daughters, | ||||||
15 | Karen (John) Moore and Joanne (Jeffrey) Harrison; her 4 | ||||||
16 | grandchildren, Nicholas, David, Marinda, and Wesley; her | ||||||
17 | brother, Douglas Swartz; her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Rodgers; | ||||||
18 | and her former husband, Robert Shineflug; therefore, be it

19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL |

2 | Marilyn Jean Shineflug, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
3 | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
