| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Donald A. "Uncle Don" Barrows of North | ||||||
| 4 | Chicago, who passed away on October 7, 2014; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Donald Barrows was born on August 23, 1932; his | ||||||
| 6 | parents were Vincent and Theresa Barrows; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Donald Barrows retired from the North Chicago | ||||||
| 8 | Police Department at the rank of sergeant after many years of | ||||||
| 9 | service; in his later years, he was an entrepreneur; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Donald Barrows was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 11 | parents; 2 brothers, Leon and Bob; and a sister, Patricia | ||||||
| 12 | Thiel; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Donald Barrows is survived by his wife of 53 | ||||||
| 14 | years, Nancy; 2 stepsons, Joe Culat and Mike (Jan) Culat; 2 | ||||||
| 15 | grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Jack (Mary Ann) | ||||||
| 16 | Barrows; and 2 sisters, Eileen Smith and Joanne (Chester) | ||||||
| 17 | Chase; therefore, be it

| 18 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 19 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 20 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Donald A. "Uncle Don" | ||||||

| 1 | Barrows; and be it further
| ||||||
| 2 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 3 | presented to the family of Donald Barrows as an expression of | ||||||
| 4 | our sympathy.
