| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Thomas J. Hoffman of Milan, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on November 11, 2015; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Thomas Hoffman was born on February 26, 1934 in | ||||||
| 6 | Moline; his parents were William and Dorothy (nee Leisure) | ||||||
| 7 | Hoffman; he married Marian Teuscher on November 25, 1960 in | ||||||
| 8 | Rock Island; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Thomas Hoffman was a United States Air Force | ||||||
| 10 | veteran; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Thomas Hoffman was the owner and operator of | ||||||
| 12 | Hoffman Trucking; he was a truck driver for Jewel Foods, | ||||||
| 13 | retiring in 1995; in his later years, he worked for Blackhawk | ||||||
| 14 | Bank and Trust and the Rock Island County Courthouse; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Thomas Hoffman was a member of St. Matthew | ||||||
| 16 | Lutheran Church in Milan; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Thomas Hoffman was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and | ||||||
| 18 | enjoyed fishing; in his spare time, he was an associate scout | ||||||
| 19 | for several Major League Baseball teams; his biggest love was | ||||||
| 20 | his grandchildren and attending all their ball games; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Thomas Hoffman is survived by his wife, Marian; | ||||||
| 2 | his children, Jeffery (Jayne) Hoffman, Lisa (Tim) Davison, and | ||||||
| 3 | T.J. (Kristi) Hoffman; his grandchildren, Meghan, Dan, Allie, | ||||||
| 4 | Robby, Caleb, Kelsey, Drew, Emily, Erik, and Errin; his | ||||||
| 5 | great-grandchildren, Taylor and Rory; and his siblings, Bill | ||||||
| 6 | Hoffman, Marilyn Brown, Sharon Mee, Chuck (Donna) Fiser, and | ||||||
| 7 | Margie Kaskadden; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 10 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas J. Hoffman; and | ||||||
| 11 | be it further

| 12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 13 | presented to the family of Thomas Hoffman as an expression of | ||||||
| 14 | our sympathy.
