2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Robert Elliott "Robbie" Cook of | ||||||
4 | Springfield, who passed away on October 1, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Robbie Cook was born in Alton to Bob and Ellen | ||||||
6 | Cook on August 16, 1968; he graduated from Glenwood High | ||||||
7 | School in 1986; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Robbie Cook worked for various agencies of the | ||||||
9 | State of Illinois, including the EPA, the Department of Health & | ||||||
10 | Human Services, the Department of Revenue, and the | ||||||
11 | Department of Economic Opportunity; during the evening, he | ||||||
12 | worked as DJ Razor on WQLZ; he also DJ'd a Sunday night radio | ||||||
13 | show that highlighted Central Illinois rock bands; he was | ||||||
14 | always on the cutting edge in music, and some of his favorite | ||||||
15 | bands included, Metallica, Nirvana, and the Smashing Pumpkins, | ||||||
16 | bands he enjoyed before they become popular; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Robbie Cook's other jobs included photographing | ||||||
18 | models and weddings and promoting concerts and other events; | ||||||
19 | he was very artistic and became a self-taught website | ||||||
20 | developer for WQLZ, WTAX, various modeling agencies, and other | ||||||
21 | companies; and

1 | WHEREAS, Robbie Cook loved music and enjoyed attending | ||||||
2 | concerts, researching rock music bands and its members, riding | ||||||
3 | his motorcycle, exploring YouTube for educational material, | ||||||
4 | reading, watching AEW wrestling, and taking care of his rose | ||||||
5 | garden; he had a boundless imagination, an adventurous spirit, | ||||||
6 | and a deep enjoyment for life and the people he met along his | ||||||
7 | way; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Robbie Cook was preceded in death his | ||||||
9 | grandparents, Henry and Nora Cook, Maxine Elliot Tucker, and | ||||||
10 | Jesse Willard Tucker; his uncles, Bill (Peggy), Bud, Bennie, | ||||||
11 | and Barney; and his aunts, Bonnie and Patty Jo; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Robbie Cook is survived by his parents; his | ||||||
13 | brother, Thomas (Tanja) Lagisse; his niece, Emma; his uncles, | ||||||
14 | Bertis (Becky) Cook and Ronnie Malcom; his aunts, Mary (Ed) | ||||||
15 | Pomatto, Cindy (Kevin) Carman, and Dottie Cook; his | ||||||
16 | great-aunt, Lilly Pauline Pennell; and his cousins, Sean, | ||||||
17 | Billie Jo, Tara, Penny, Nickie, April, Jennifer, Courtney, | ||||||
18 | Andrew, Nicholas, and Nathan; therefore, be it

19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
20 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
21 | Robert Elliott "Robbie" Cook and extend our sincere | ||||||
22 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
23 | him; and be it further
