2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Jerry Joseph Geiger of East Moline, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on September 10, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jerry Geiger was born to Earl and Frances | ||||||
6 | (Strother) Geiger in Rock Island on January 23, 1935; he | ||||||
7 | married Betty M. Wiley in Rock Island on February 4, 1955; he | ||||||
8 | served in the U.S. Air Force; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Jerry Geiger was previously employed at John | ||||||
10 | Deere, where he worked as an electrician; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Jerry Geiger enjoyed spending time with his | ||||||
12 | family, woodworking, listening to country music, and playing | ||||||
13 | the ukulele; he was a member of River City Church; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Jerry Geiger was preceded in death by his son, | ||||||
15 | Don; his sister, Patty; and a grandson; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Jerry Geiger is survived by his wife, Betty; his | ||||||
17 | son, Bob (Ping) Geiger; his daughter, Sheila (Jim) Heubach; | ||||||
18 | his seven grandchildren; his 13 great-grandchildren; and his | ||||||
19 | sister, Cathy (Gary) Wagner; therefore, be it

2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Jerry Joseph Geiger and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
4 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
