2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Carl G. Schrof of Bloomington, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on March 25, 2020; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Carl Schrof was born in Fairbury to Ervin and | ||||||
6 | Grace Johnson Schrof on May 14, 1936; he was educated in | ||||||
7 | Forrest schools and served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1958; | ||||||
8 | he married Ernestine Earles on October 6, 1957; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Carl Schrof was a commercial real estate broker | ||||||
10 | and owned and operated Schrof Enterprises; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Carl Schrof was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran | ||||||
12 | Church in Forrest, the Bloomington Elks Club, the Moose Lodge, | ||||||
13 | and the Illinois Valley Yacht and Canoe Club in Peoria Heights; | ||||||
14 | and

15 | WHEREAS, Carl Schrof was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
16 | and his brother, John Schrof; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Carl Schrof is survived by his sons, Gregory and | ||||||
18 | Douglas Schrof; his daughter, Pamela Rieger; his | ||||||
19 | grandchildren, Angela (Eric) Leman, Tyler (Nicole) Steimle, | ||||||
20 | Stuart Steimle, and Lindsey (Justin) Voights; seven |

1 | great-grandchildren; and his life partner, Peg Otto; | ||||||
2 | therefore, be it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
5 | Carl G. Schrof and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
6 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
7 | further

8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
9 | presented to the family of Carl Schrof as an expression of our | ||||||
10 | deepest sympathy.
