2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of William J. "Bill" O'Donnell of Moline, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on February 28, 2020; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Bill O'Donnell was born in Toronto, Canada to | ||||||
6 | William and Agnes (Marley) O'Donnell on September 29, 1929; he | ||||||
7 | married Irene Roelens at Sacred Heart Church in Moline on | ||||||
8 | September 4, 1950 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean | ||||||
9 | War; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Bill O'Donnell retired in 1986 from the | ||||||
11 | Continental Baking Company in Davenport, Iowa after 31 years; | ||||||
12 | and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Bill O'Donnell was affectionately known as "Bill | ||||||
14 | the Wonder Bread Man"; he was a member of Sacred Heart Church | ||||||
15 | and enjoyed photography and playing the piano; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Bill O'Donnell was preceded in death by his | ||||||
17 | son-in-law, Michael VanEchaute and his brothers, Marley and | ||||||
18 | Hugh O'Donnell; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Bill O'Donnell is survived by his wife, Irene; his | ||||||
20 | children, Kathie VanEchaute, Judy (Bruce) Woodburn, and Paula |

2 | Emily (Aron) Sikarskie, and Andy (Heather) Gall; therefore, be | ||||||

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
6 | William J. "Bill" O'Donnell and extend our sincere condolences | ||||||
7 | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | ||||||
