| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Joseph Carpio Sr. of Moline, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on February 27, 2022; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio was born to Pedro and Mary (Perez) | ||||||
| 6 | Carpio in East Moline on January 19, 1930; he served in the | ||||||
| 7 | U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; he married Margaret | ||||||
| 8 | Segobiano; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio retired as an overhead crane | ||||||
| 10 | operator at the International Harvester in East Moline; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio enjoyed being with his family, | ||||||
| 12 | especially his grandchildren; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 14 | parents; his wife, Margaret; his son, Richard; and his | ||||||
| 15 | brothers, Chuck, Walt, Frank, Robert, Tony, Jesse, and Bob; | ||||||
| 16 | and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio is survived by his son, Joseph | ||||||
| 18 | (Laurie) Carpio Jr.; his grandchildren, Philip Carpio, | ||||||
| 19 | Brittney (Jordan) Garvey, Payton Carpio, and Larry (Nicole) | ||||||
| 20 | Snyder; his sisters, Margaret "Mickey" Mayer, Joannie Hurt, | ||||||

| 1 | Lupe Reese, and Terry DeFauw; and his many nieces, nephews, | ||||||
| 2 | and great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
| 4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| ||||||
| 5 | Joseph Carpio Sr. and extend our sincere
condolences to his | ||||||
| 6 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
