2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Joseph Carpio Sr. of Moline, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on February 27, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio was born to Pedro and Mary (Perez) | ||||||
6 | Carpio in East Moline on January 19, 1930; he served in the | ||||||
7 | U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; he married Margaret | ||||||
8 | Segobiano; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio retired as an overhead crane | ||||||
10 | operator at the International Harvester in East Moline; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio enjoyed being with his family, | ||||||
12 | especially his grandchildren; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio was preceded in death by his | ||||||
14 | parents; his wife, Margaret; his son, Richard; and his | ||||||
15 | brothers, Chuck, Walt, Frank, Robert, Tony, Jesse, and Bob; | ||||||
16 | and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio is survived by his son, Joseph | ||||||
18 | (Laurie) Carpio Jr.; his grandchildren, Philip Carpio, | ||||||
19 | Brittney (Jordan) Garvey, Payton Carpio, and Larry (Nicole) | ||||||
20 | Snyder; his sisters, Margaret "Mickey" Mayer, Joannie Hurt, |

4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
