1 | SENATE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of William H. "Bill" McCue of Springfield, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on February 18, 2012; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, He was born September 28, 1925, the son of Bernard | ||||||
6 | and Erma McCue; he graduated from Riverton High School, | ||||||
7 | attended Springfield Junior College, and graduated from the | ||||||
8 | University of Illinois in 1949; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, William McCue married Joan Parrish on May 5th, | ||||||
10 | 1951; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, He placed among the top 8 in the nation for the | ||||||
12 | Certified Public Accountant examination in November, 1952; he | ||||||
13 | served in the United States Army, achieving the rank of | ||||||
14 | Sergeant, from 1944 to 1946, in both the European and Pacific | ||||||
15 | Theaters; he worked and later became a senior partner in the | ||||||
16 | CPA firm of Meyer and VanMeter; and

17 | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents and his | ||||||
18 | sister, Dorothy; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, William McCue is survived by his wife; his | ||||||
20 | daughters, Cynthia J. (husband Lonz) Spears, Christina McCue, |

1 | and Cheryl Hinrichs; his grandsons, Bill, Justin, Jason, and | ||||||
2 | Corey; his three great-grandsons; his niece, Kay Bell; and his | ||||||
3 | cousins, William Kamm and Nancy Peters; therefore, be it
| ||||||
4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
6 | his family and friends, the passing of William McCue; and be it | ||||||
7 | further
| ||||||
8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
9 | presented to the family of William McCue as a symbol of our | ||||||
10 | sincere sympathy.
