| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Anthony Paul "Tony" D'Amico, Jr., who | ||||||
4 | passed away on September 10, 2013; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Anthony D'Amico, Jr. had been a lifetime resident | ||||||
6 | of Joliet; he was a graduate of Joliet Township High School and | ||||||
7 | Purdue University; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Anthony D'Amico, Jr. proudly served as a member of | ||||||
9 | the United States Army; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Anthony D'Amico, Jr. was a partner in the D'Amico | ||||||
11 | Family Restaurants, which includes D'Amico's 214, D'Amico's | ||||||
12 | Banquets, and Earl's Cafe; during that time, he was | ||||||
13 | instrumental in securing top flight entertainment to Joliet, | ||||||
14 | including Louis Armstrong, Phyllis Diller, Count Basie, | ||||||
15 | Eloise, and Pat O'Brien; and

16 | WHEREAS, Anthony D'Amico, Jr. was an avid and talented | ||||||
17 | golfer; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Anthony D'Amico, Jr. was preceded in death by his | ||||||
19 | parents, Anthony, Sr. and Clara D'Amico; and

1 | WHEREAS, Anthony D'Amico, Jr. is survived by his brother, | ||||||
2 | Earl J. D'Amico; his nieces, Claire and Gianna; his aunt, Mary | ||||||
3 | Bertagnoli; and his great-nephews, Alex and Danny Barone; | ||||||
4 | therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
7 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Anthony Paul "Tony" | ||||||
8 | D'Amico, Jr.; and be it further
| ||||||
9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
10 | presented to the family of Anthony D'Amico, Jr. as an | ||||||
11 | expression of our sympathy.
