| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Raymond Dean Stader of Waukegan, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on January 20, 2012; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, He was born to George and Adeline (Manning) Stader | ||||||
6 | on January 25th, 1928 in Chicago; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean | ||||||
8 | War; he served in the United States Navy on a minesweeper, the | ||||||
9 | USS Ptarmigan, Pacific Fleet, and later as a court reporter for | ||||||
10 | the CompServePac Staff of the Navy; after discharge, he | ||||||
11 | returned to Chicago, where he was a free lance court reporter | ||||||
12 | before moving to Waukegan where he was an official court | ||||||
13 | reporter for the State of Illinois in Lake County for 30 years; | ||||||
14 | and

15 | WHEREAS, He was a Medinah Temple Shriner for over 50 years; | ||||||
16 | he was a Free Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite; he also | ||||||
17 | was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, After his retirement, he spent his time enjoying | ||||||
19 | many hobbies; he was an avid fisherman, enjoyed golfing, | ||||||
20 | playing cards, and traveling; and

1 | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his | ||||||
2 | brothers, Don and George; his sister-in-law, Wilma Stader; and | ||||||
3 | his faithful companion of 19 years, a little dachshund named | ||||||
4 | Bernie; and

5 | WHEREAS, Raymond Stader is survived by his daughters, Nancy | ||||||
6 | (David) Kubik and Peggy R. Stader; his sister, Barbara (Donald) | ||||||
7 | Knapp; his former wife, Phyllis Stader; and his nieces, | ||||||
8 | nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
| ||||||
9 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
10 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
11 | his family and friends, the passing of Raymond Stader; and be | ||||||
12 | it further

13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
14 | presented to the family of Raymond Stader as a symbol of our | ||||||
15 | sincere sympathy.
