SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Corrine M. Foley of Bloomington, who
4passed away on June 1, 2019; and
5 WHEREAS, Corrine Foley was born in Chicago to Earl and
6Josephine Olejnik Osterland on June 24, 1937; she married James
7T. Foley in Chicago on February 7, 1959; and
8 WHEREAS, Corrine Foley was an avid fan of Central Catholic
9and Notre Dame; affectionately known as "Nana" by everyone, she
10was the number one fan at her grandchildren's sporting events;
11she enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her family;
12she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and
13great-grandmother; and
14 WHEREAS, Corrine Foley was preceded in death by her
15husband, James; her parents; her brother, Earl Osterland; and
16her sister, Carole Latelle; and
17 WHEREAS, Corrine Foley is survived by her children, Thomas
18(Deb) Foley, Jeannette (Mark) Sofia, Christine (Rocky)
19Marcoux, Joseph Foley, and Timothy Foley; her grandchildren,
20Katie, Erin, Joseph, Kevin, Elena, Sarah, Shannon, Colleen,
21Hannah, Lillie, Will, Kristina, and Patrick; and her

1great-grandchildren, Maxis and Bria; therefore, be it
2 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Corrine M. Foley and extend our sincere condolences to her
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
6further
7 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Corrine Foley as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
