SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Corrine M. Foley of Bloomington, who
passed away on June 1, 2019; and
WHEREAS, Corrine Foley was born in Chicago to Earl and
Josephine Olejnik Osterland on June 24, 1937; she married James
T. Foley in Chicago on February 7, 1959; and
WHEREAS, Corrine Foley was an avid fan of Central Catholic
and Notre Dame; affectionately known as "Nana" by everyone, she
was the number one fan at her grandchildren's sporting events;
she enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her family;
she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and
great-grandmother; and
WHEREAS, Corrine Foley was preceded in death by her
husband, James; her parents; her brother, Earl Osterland; and
her sister, Carole Latelle; and
WHEREAS, Corrine Foley is survived by her children, Thomas
(Deb) Foley, Jeannette (Mark) Sofia, Christine (Rocky)
Marcoux, Joseph Foley, and Timothy Foley; her grandchildren,
Katie, Erin, Joseph, Kevin, Elena, Sarah, Shannon, Colleen,
Hannah, Lillie, Will, Kristina, and Patrick; and her

great-grandchildren, Maxis and Bria; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Corrine M. Foley and extend our sincere condolences to her
family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Corrine Foley as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
