2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Donald "Don" E. Schillinger of Orion, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on May 30, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Don Schillinger was born to Paul John and Lydia | ||||||
6 | Margaret (Knochenmus) Schillinger in Colona Township on May 2, | ||||||
7 | 1932; he served in the United States Air Force; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Don Schillinger worked for IH East Moline in his | ||||||
9 | younger years and later became a farmer in the Orion area; he | ||||||
10 | also owned and operated the Nail Keg in Orion as well as the | ||||||
11 | former Waterslide; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Don Schillinger was a member of the VFW and the | ||||||
13 | UAW Local 1304; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Don Schillinger was preceded in death by his | ||||||
15 | parents; his sister, Mary Pysson; and his brothers, Floyd and | ||||||
16 | Harold Schillinger; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Don Schillinger is survived by his brother, Lloyd | ||||||
18 | (Margie) Schillinger; his nieces, Sherry (Rick) Lovett, Marsh | ||||||
19 | Storm, Donna (Bob) Waterfield, Jan (Rod) Versluys, Judy (Bill) | ||||||
20 | Ward, and Carla Schillinger; and his nephews, David (Cheryl) |

5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
6 | Donald "Don" E. Schillinger and extend our sincere condolences | ||||||
7 | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | ||||||
