| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Dorothy Nicolet Schulz of Alton, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on April 5, 2015; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Schulz was born in Alton on October 14, | ||||||
6 | 1928 to Leo and Mary Jane Nicolet; she graduated from Alton | ||||||
7 | High School and St. Joseph's School of Nursing; she married | ||||||
8 | Arthur E. Schulz on October 7, 1950 at St. Mary's Catholic | ||||||
9 | Church; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Schulz spent the next 40 years as a nurse | ||||||
11 | helping others; this culminated in her position as the longtime | ||||||
12 | Director of Nursing at Alton Memorial Hospital; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Schulz is survived by her husband, Arthur; | ||||||
14 | her 5 children and their spouses, John and Marie Schulz, | ||||||
15 | Rebecca and Ron Wilkinson, Eric and Pamela Schulz, Ned and Jill | ||||||
16 | Schulz, and Marilyn and Dan Erzen;
her 11 grandchildren; and | ||||||
17 | her 12 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| ||||||
18 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
19 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
20 | Dorothy Nicolet Schulz, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
21 | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
