SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Jennifer Sue "Jenny" (nee Ivers) Rethorn
of Jerseyville, who passed away on May 11, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Rethorn was born on March 23, 1971, in
Jerseyville to William and Rosemary (nee Blasa) Ivers; she
attended Kane Grade School and graduated in 1988 from Jersey
Community High School in Jerseyville; she earned her bachelor
of arts in psychology from Blackburn College in Carlinville;
and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Rethorn worked at Whites Greenhouse and
Nursery in Godfrey and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in
Jerseyville; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Rethorn was preceded in death by her
grandparents, Ward and Elma Ivers and Fred and Lillian Blasa;
and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Rethorn is survived by her parents; her
son, Koty Rethorn; her daughter, Kathrine Rose Perkins; and her
sisters, Patricia "Trish" Ivers and Kelly (Jim) Little;
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Jennifer Rethorn, and extend our sincere condolences to her
family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Jennifer Rethorn as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
