2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Franklin Charles Lenberg of Moline, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on April 5, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Franklin Lenberg was born in Kewanee to Peter and | ||||||
6 | Mary (Rittenhouse) Lenberg on September 29, 1936; he served in | ||||||
7 | the U.S. Navy; he married Lila Springer in Gibson City in 1968; | ||||||
8 | and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Franklin Lenberg worked for the National Licorice | ||||||
10 | Company; he later retired from the J.C. Penney Company in | ||||||
11 | Moline; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Franklin Lenberg was a former member of the | ||||||
13 | Gospel Temple in Moline and the Open Bible Church in East | ||||||
14 | Moline; he enjoyed going to flea markets, reminiscing, and | ||||||
15 | sharing stories; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Franklin Lenberg was preceded in death by his | ||||||
17 | parents; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Franklin Lenberg is survived by his wife, Lila; | ||||||
19 | his son, Todd Lenberg; and his many beloved in-laws and | ||||||
20 | friends; therefore, be it

1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Franklin Charles Lenberg and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
4 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
5 | further

6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
7 | presented to the family of Franklin Lenberg as an expression | ||||||
