2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of
Martha Sarah Sehring, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | March 6, 2011; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Martha Sehring was born and raised in Milwaukee, | ||||||
6 | Wisconsin; she earned her degree in economics from the | ||||||
7 | University of Wisconsin, where she was a member of the Delta | ||||||
8 | Gamma sorority; she was a 70-year resident of Joliet; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Martha Sehring was a member of Childerguild and a | ||||||
10 | volunteer at Silver Cross Hospital for over 65 years; she was | ||||||
11 | active in Women of Rotary; she was also a past president of the | ||||||
12 | Women's Study Club; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Martha Sehring and her late husband were founding | ||||||
14 | members of the St. Edward the Martyr Episcopal Church; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Martha Sehring was preceded in death by her | ||||||
16 | husband, Henry Arnold Sehring, and her parents, Harriet and | ||||||
17 | Arthur Lintott; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Martha Sehring is survived by her daughter and | ||||||
19 | son-in-law, Sally (LeRoy) Weaver; their son, LeRoy E. (Chip) | ||||||
20 | Weaver III, and his daughter, Victoria Anne; her daughter, |

1 | Nancy Sehring Johnson and her children, Julie (Scott) Jackson, | ||||||
2 | Christine (Jay) Jarvie, and Babs Sehring; and her niece, Cynde | ||||||

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
7 | her family and friends, the passing of Martha Sarah Sehring; | ||||||
8 | and be it further

9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
