SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Martha Sarah Sehring, who passed away on
4March 6, 2011; and
5 WHEREAS, Martha Sehring was born and raised in Milwaukee,
6Wisconsin; she earned her degree in economics from the
7University of Wisconsin, where she was a member of the Delta
8Gamma sorority; she was a 70-year resident of Joliet; and
9 WHEREAS, Martha Sehring was a member of Childerguild and a
10volunteer at Silver Cross Hospital for over 65 years; she was
11active in Women of Rotary; she was also a past president of the
12Women's Study Club; and
13 WHEREAS, Martha Sehring and her late husband were founding
14members of the St. Edward the Martyr Episcopal Church; and
15 WHEREAS, Martha Sehring was preceded in death by her
16husband, Henry Arnold Sehring, and her parents, Harriet and
17Arthur Lintott; and
18 WHEREAS, Martha Sehring is survived by her daughter and
19son-in-law, Sally (LeRoy) Weaver; their son, LeRoy E. (Chip)
20Weaver III, and his daughter, Victoria Anne; her daughter,

1Nancy Sehring Johnson and her children, Julie (Scott) Jackson,
2Christine (Jay) Jarvie, and Babs Sehring; and her niece, Cynde
3Jahneke (Dale) Seegers and their children, Matt and Beth;
4therefore, be it
5 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
7her family and friends, the passing of Martha Sarah Sehring;
8and be it further
9 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Martha Sehring as an expression of
11our sympathy.
