2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Mary Sandra "Sandy" Moser of Naperville, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on December 22, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Mary Moser was born in Quincy on October 3, 1936 | ||||||
6 | to Carl and Dolly Boltz; she graduated from Quincy Notre Dame | ||||||
7 | High School, where she was involved in plays and musicals, the | ||||||
8 | school paper, cheerleading, and was selected as Homecoming | ||||||
9 | Queen; in 1958, she graduated from Mount Mary College in | ||||||
10 | Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she continued her involvement in | ||||||
11 | theater, and was involved in student government and the campus | ||||||
12 | newspaper; she was recognized in Who's Who Among Students at | ||||||
13 | American Colleges & Universities; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Following graduation, Mary Moser moved to Green | ||||||
15 | Bay, Wisconsin and worked as a social worker for the Catholic | ||||||
16 | Apostolate; she moved to Naperville in 1962 and married Jim | ||||||
17 | Moser at SS. Peter & Paul Church; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Mary Moser moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1989 and | ||||||
19 | opened the Backyard Inn Restaurant with her brother, Tim Boltz; | ||||||
20 | she returned to Naperville in 2012; and
| ||||||
21 | WHEREAS, Mary Moser volunteered for many organizations, |

| |||||||
1 | including Catholic Daughters, Meals on Wheels, the Girl & Boy | ||||||
2 | Scouts of America, the Naperville Little League, Saints Peter | ||||||
3 | and Paul School, and Benet Academy; and
| ||||||
4 | WHEREAS, Mary Moser enjoyed numerous outdoor activities, | ||||||
5 | including skiing, fishing, and cheering on the Green Bay | ||||||
6 | Packers; she also enjoyed traveling, card games, and spending | ||||||
7 | time with her children and grandchildren; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Mary Moser was preceded in death by her brother, | ||||||
9 | Tim Boltz; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Mary Moser is survived by her 4 children, Kate | ||||||
11 | (Bob) Ontko, Matt, Mitch, and Porter (Megan) Moser; her 9 | ||||||
12 | grandchildren, Kelsey, Lara, and Porter Ontko, Kayla and | ||||||
13 | Shannon Moser, and Jordan, Jake, Ben, and Max Moser; her | ||||||
14 | brothers, Dan (Fran) Boltz and Porter (Joy) Boltz; her | ||||||
15 | sister-in-law, Pat Boltz; her uncle, Jack Settle; and her | ||||||
16 | nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
| ||||||
17 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
18 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
19 | Mary Sandra "Sandy" Moser, and extend our sincere condolences | ||||||
20 | to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be | ||||||
21 | it further
